Email from PDPC QSM dated 27 April 2015 at 5.46 pm
Dear Priscilla
Please refer to the various emails to the PDPC between 24 and 26 April 2015 on your concerns regarding the registration of telephone number(s) on the Do Not Call (“DNC”) Registry.
2 We regret again to hear of your frustration and concerns on the matter. As such, we have done a further verification with our DNC system records and confirm that both the telephone numbers (9xxxxxxx and 9xxxxxxx) were tagged to a “deregistration” request on 2 December 2013. We also confirm that no registration request of the two telephone numbers was made to the DNC Registry until 23 and 24 April 2015 respectively. Inthis regard, we believe that you might had inadvertently selected the option “Remove my number from the DNC Registry” in the drop down list on the DNC Registry websitehttps://www.dnc.gov.sg/consumer/registerwhen you accessed the DNC Registry system on 2 December 2013.
3 Notwithstanding the above, please accept our apologies for your experience in the registration process. We appreciate your feedback and will be reviewing if our portal can be enhanced to inform users whose telephone number is not registered with the DNC Registry but yet have chosen to remove that number from the Registry.
4 We will also follow up with you via a telephone call on the matter. In the meantime, kindly email us atinfo@pdpc.gov.sg or call us at 6377 3131if we could be of further assistance to you.

I feel extremely disappointed and frustrated with those reply from PDPC...
Saturday, April 25, 2015
Email sent to Prime Minister on 26 April 2015 at 1.30 am
I have a discrepancy with PDPC since my first email to them on the 21 March 2015.
I have been honestly and sincerely furnished to them all the requirements that they needed for those telemarketing, tuition agency, moneylender and property agents details that they have sent to my mobile number so far. As it turn out to be my mobile number is Deregister with PDPC DNC instead of Register with them after their five weeks of further investigation...
I feel that their reply is indeed ridiculous and unreasonable for me.
None of my friends or even Singtel Customer Relation Manager won't believe that I will Deregister with PDPC DNC instead of Register with PDPC DNC at that time.
I am rather confident that I have Register both my mobile number with PDPC DNC using my laptop.
I know the main purpose of implementing the DNC Do Not Call Registry when I have registered with PDPC DNC on the 2 December 2013.
I hope that you will be able to look into this matter seriously once again.
Your urgent and immediate attention will be highly appreciated.

Urgent Attention to PDPC CEO
Dear Sir
I am extremely disappointed with those managers who have handle my case since 21 March 2015...
I feel that it's truly ridiculous if you're going to reply me that I have registered to PDPC to Deregister my mobile number in your registry...!!??!!
What do you mean for that as I don't need to take any action if I need those telemarketing to disturb me every day and night since then...!!
What will be the main purpose for the PDPC DNC to be implement in the first place...??!!
It's for those consumers who Do Not Wish To Receive those nuisance calls from those telemarketing...!!
It's not for those consumers who wish to register to ask those telemarketing to call them instead...!!
It's truly unreasonable and ridiculous for you to mention that to me right now...!!
I don't even understand your language if you're going to tell me that I have Deregister for DNC Do Not Call Service...!!
If I do not register for DNC, how can I being Deregister for this service in the first place...?
Do you know that your reply to me is unreasonable as someone out there is trying to Deregister my service if I wish to pinpoint to anyone of them now...!!
It's will be more reasonable if I am going to bring up this matter further...
I have checked my another mobile number 9xxxxxxx and I am trying to Register in DNC one more time as it's seem that on the 2 December 2013 when I have Register for DNC, it turn out to be Deregister now...!!
Don't you think all those excuses that you've been given to me is extremely ridiculous and unreasonable.
If you're trying to say that when I have Registered and the system captured as Deregister... That will be your DNC System Error since then...!!
This is what I am able to conclude to you at this time...
If I have to bring up this matter to my MPs and PMO for them to handle it for me, you need to bear more consequences in the future...
Regards
Priscilla
Urgent Attention to PDPC CEO...
Dear Sir
I am extremely disappointed and frustrated as I am seriously feel being insulted by PDPC now...!!
Do you mean I Do Not Know how to read simply English like Register or Deregister...??!!
Do you mean that I am just illiterate being fool by your email now...??!!
Do you really mean that I seriously don't understand any simple ABC right now...??!!
I feel that your email to me is more towards insulting me rather than assisting me in solving my simple issue with DNC...??!!
Wait for my email... I should bring it up to your higher management once again.
It's truly and seriously ridiculous if you're trying to tell me that I have accidentally Deregister from DNC since 2 December 2013...!!
All those reply to me it's seem unreasonable for me and anyone else to read and believe it as it's from the Government Statutory Board now...!!
Don't you think it's indeed silly to mention that I Have Deregister to DNC...!!

Dear Priscilla,
We refer to your feedback dated 21 March 2015 on the above subject matter.
2 We would like to share with you that registration of telephone number with the Do Not Call (“DNC”) Registry by an individual does not automatically block all incoming calls and messages per se, as the onus is on the organisations to check their list of telephone numbers with the DNC Registry before they carry out their telemarketing activities. If your telephone number is registered with the DNC Registryand you continue to receive unsolicited telemarketing calls and messages, you may lodge a complaint with us.
3 We have reviewed the information furnished for this complaint and noted that some of the relevant information required for our investigation to determine whether an offence was committed, was not mentioned in your email. Please provide us with the screenshot of the text messages received showing clearly the full content of the message and also the date and time of the message.
4 The above information is important for our investigation purpose. Please note that we may not be able to proceed with our investigation if insufficient information was provided. As part of our investigation, our officers may also contact you to record your statement on the alleged offence.
5 Meanwhile, youmay also wish to consider using your mobile phone in-built call and message barring functions to block unwanted calls and text messages. Please refer to the mobile phone developer’s website or user manual on how to go about this.
6 We look forward to your reply on paragraph 3. Please refer to the PDPC’swebsite for the advisory guidelines issued by PDPC and other information relating to the PDPA. Kindly email us atinfo@pdpc.gov.sgor call us at 6377 3131 if we could be of further assistance to you.

Email from PDPC dated 24 April 2015 at 4.35 pm
Dear Priscilla
Please refer to your email dated 23 April 2015 on the above subject matter.
2 We are sorry to have taken some time to respond to your feedback. We have done a detailed check on the December 2013 registration. Based on our system records, we note that you have indeed accessed the Do Not Call (“DNC”) Registry system on 2 December 2013. However, our records show that you did not register for the telephone number 9xxxxxxx to be included in the DNC Registry. Instead, we confirm that the action done was for the number 9xxxxxxx to be “deregistered” i.e. to be removed from the Registry.
3 We note that you have successfully submitted another registration request on 23 April 2015.For your information, while the inclusion of a telephone number registered on the DNC Registry is immediate, individual may still receive telemarketing messages for up to 30 days. Thereafter, if you continue to receive unsolicited telemarketing message, you may lodge a complaint with us and we will assist you further.
4 Separately, we would also like to highlight that you may continue to receive telemarketing calls and messages from an organisation after registration with the DNC Registry if you have given the organisation your clear and unambiguous consent to receive such calls and messages in written or other accessible form, unless consent is withdrawn. Below are other scenarios that you may alsocontinue to receive telemarketing calls and messages:
a. for service calls or reminder messages in respect of services that you have bought;
b. for Business-to-Business telemarketing messages;
c. related to the subject of an ongoing relationship between you and some of the organisations under theExemption Order (“EO”);or
d. for overseas calls
